My baby is 20!

I can't believe my baby is 20!  I always told Dustin that I didn't want him to get any older each birthday and he said he wouldn't but HE DID!!!
Here he is with two very important people in his life right now
 besides his parents....Kayla and Miloh!

He loves his grandma and grandaddy!
He enjoys being Uncle Dustin to Bella!
Who blew out his candle before we could take the photo.
The #1 is for a #1 son!
He is studying graphic design at the Art Institute in San Diego and has a photography internship right now.
So what does an intern have to endure...
letting the photographer take crazy photos of you.
This is what happened on Saturday.
What a good sport!

Happy Birthday Dustin!
I love you so much and so does Dad(but you already know that!)

A little bit of Easter

Mason and I went shopping a couple weeks ago and found this bunny and an egg basket for a little bit of Easter decorating.  I usually have this on my dining room table and moved it to this table that my mama bought me that I have in my entry.  I love using my WELCOME along with a little something for each season.  I enjoy reading all of your blogs about your decorating finds and how you decorate your tables, etc.  You are all so talented and I love learning from you. I've never been a big decorator.  I get so far and then get overwhelmed with the finishing touches.   I'm learning after all these years to do a little decorating and I love it!  Enjoy!

It was a Mason Day!

My little grandson, Mason is getting so big and looking more like his mommy every day!  We had a good day on Wednesday.  It was so hot that after a little running around with Grandma to Target and Starbucks, Mason wanted to hang out in his diaper and play with is jungle on the floor enjoying looking at himself in the mirror.  The top picture I stole from his blog.  It reminds me so much of my daughter at that same age except he has those gorgeous blue eyes.  Wow! Are they beautiful in the natural light.

Wish I had more to share girls but all I've been doing lately is working and watching my grandchildren.  Not a bad life however I am due for some ME time soon!

We had a little Irish celebration on Sunday to celebrate Dylan Riley's first birthday!  Everyone came in all their green.  What a nice day it was to celebrate in the backyard.  Daddy barbequed the hotdogs, Mommy made the punch and we all had a good time.  Dylan had 6 aunts and 7 uncles, along with one great grandma, both sets of grandparents, 9 cousins(all under 3) and one sister and family friends-Megan, Kyle and Evan to help celebrate.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!

Where Did the Week Go??

It was a busy week! Look who came to see Grandma on Monday??? It was Miss Bella and Sir Dylan. It was so nice we played in the yard. What fun we had!

Bella wanted to pick a flower and then posed so I could take her photo!

Speed got a lot of attention from all of us and loved every minute!

Dylan has been walking for 2 months now and it's so nice when we are outside.
He loves playing in the sandbox.

Don't ya love his little Converse All-Stars??
Look Grandma...I got some sand!
It's pretty cool! He later tasted it and threw it over his head! Boys!!!
Happy Birthday this week to my sister Pat(on the right).
This was taken at my niece Taryn's wedding in May. She is my
sister, Dawn's daughter.
Bella picked a couple more flowers and we put them in this dish.
She was so thrilled and kept coming back to the table to look at the pretty flowers.
Some flowers in my yard.

The end of the week...Hubby and I met up with Kat (from Just A Beach Kat) and her hubby, George in Palm Desert at Mamma Gina's for dinner. What fun we had getting to know each other. Kat is just as nice, fun and pretty as she is on her blog. We talked the night away and almost closed down the restaurant. The waiters had a great time making faces in the background while we were trying to get a good photo out in front of the restaurant.Finally...we got one without an extra in the background. Thanks Kat and George for your friendship and sharing a favorite restaurant with us. Looking forward to next year!
2009 is flying by too fast and I don't know where it's going! Little Dylan turns ONE this week and we are having his party here tomorrow. Gotta go...be back soon!

The Hat!

Isn't he the most adorable Amish baby ever??

The Adorable Amish baby's parents

The Adorable Amish baby's grandpa!
My crazy son loving this hat!

It was my hubby's birthday recently and we all gathered as good Amish families do! Sorry that's another story cuz we are not Amish.  I am intrigued by the Amish and enjoyed seeing them in real life a couple years ago when we took a trip to see relatives in Pennsylvania.

Now back to the real story...D3 got this hat as a gift from his friend and it's too small.  D2 found the hat recently when were all gathered together and decided to put it on.  We all cracked up when he made this face and thought he looked like the Amish so he went with it.  He made all kinds of funny faces and just had a blast.  He is the life of the party and our family.  And that boy has always had the biggest smile on his face!  Then everyone tried on the hat, much like Cinderella (that's another story too!) to see if it fit them any better.  Hubby had a turn and then little Dylan had a turn.  Isn't he the cutest?  I could not get a smile from that little one.  He is so serious most of the time just taking everything in.  He's not a talker yet.  He turns ONE in a week and we'll have more pics of that to show ya.

Hope you enjoyed our fun.  I miss you all and hope to be back blogging more regular soon!  Bye from the Amish grandma ( sorry no hat photo).  Maybe I'll do that for ya sometime soon.  Have a good week!

I'm Late to the Year of the Scarf Bloggy Carnival

I'm Late! I'm Late for a very important Date! I missed the Year of the Bloggy Scarf Carnival on Monday, March 2nd! Oh well...better late than never! This is my favorite scarf for the fall...it looks good with so many things. I bought a couple others for the fall and winter but it never got cold enough long enough for me to remember to wear them. I think Jessica Alba has this scarf thing down...and she's got her daughter, Honor wearing them too. How cute is that??
If you want to see others who are in love with their scarves or to see how to wear a scarf...visit Rachel at Unexpected Blessings who hosted this unique carnival.
