Colorado!!!!

For the first time, I have a child and his family who too far away to get together for the holidays. It's an adjustment. They are coming home at New Year's however I had to see them before the holidays and bring some Christmas cheer! Thank you Southwest Airlines for your fabulous flight fares and an easy flight. So here we go....I got to see snow for Christmas! That hasn't happened in a long time either. Here's what I saw when I was landing in Denver...a blanket of white. So pretty!!

These two precious ones are who I miss the most and they didn't want to let me out of their sight and I didn't either. Here we are in our new jammies the first night I was there. I always bought my children new jammies for Christmas so I am carrying on the tradition with the grandchildren!
The next morning was my Grandma Day with Bella and her momma so wonderfully planned a scavenger hunt of sorts for our day. She is very creative!! So off Bella and I went to breakfast at Panera. Inside the envelope were my directions and a gift card. What a treat!

Bella likes the Cinnamon Crunch bagels...they are really good! Grandma likes them too!!

The next envelope had us heading to the 11am viewing of the Princess and the Frog which was very cute! Tickets in the envelope too. So nice! No photo there...sorry! The last envelope had us heading to McDonalds for lunch and some play time. Another gift card enclosed to cover lunch! My DIL really out did herself! Thanks Selena for an awesome Grandma Day!! You knew how much I missed those times with Bella and you made it special.

And then all of a sudden, we see Dylan and mommy and daddy joining us! What a treat!
Big sister keeping watch over her baby brother, however Dylan knew his way around the play place. He is 1-1/2 and the beginning age is 3 years old. Well...he can do it all! Amazing!!

Then great grandma Lola's package arrived with some much needed clothes and wow did she do good! Exactly what they needed and really cute too!

Bella loves her new jacket! It's really cute!
My son Dallas is always so thoughtful and knows how much I love to see Christmas lights. He took us all to downtown Denver to see the lights. The highlight was the County building with the whole building lit up, a manger scene, Santa and reindeer, a Merry Christmas sign, Peace on Earth sign and so much more. It is gorgeous!! I was impressed that they had a manger scene. Thank you DENVER!!!

This is the capitol all lit up. It's a beautiful building too!

As Dallas calls it...my favorite clock tower. I took a few photos of this beautiful building this summer. It is so pretty at Christmas too!
Union Station was all lit up too!
One of the streets with lights in the trees and across the street but I love the reflection of the traffic lights in the wet street. Pretty neat, huh?

He was my shadow..followed me every where I went. I loved it!! He is so precious and has this cute little voice.

He puts his hands up when they play Beyonce's Single Ladies song where it says, "All the single ladies put your hands up!" Too cute!

Two precious grandbabies that I was so thrilled to get to visit once again. I miss them so much!

Isn't she precious? My sweet Bella. Love that girl!!

Playing with grandma...she's a choker though!
Trying to get a photo with the two of them takes a little doing...I love this one!

My son, Dallas...miss him and Selena so much however I am happy they are enjoying Colorado and making a life for themselves. He has a good job and enjoys what he does. They are doing well! I am thankful to God for that!

I had to show you a little snow...so here ya go. It had snowed earlier in the week and then it warmed up...yes I am calling 39 degrees warm because with a few layers and a coat on...it's warm!! Did you notice I did not have a coat on?? It was a gorgeous day!
Our last try for a photo with grandma...too cute!

Thanks to Southwest for a fast easy flight and for fare sales...please put your fares on sale more often so I can continue to visit my grandbabies on a regular basis.

What a great time I had and can't wait to see them again December 31st! Love you guys!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!

But you had to come home . . . :(
Well - you still have Danielle and her family here . . . so all is not lost.
Not enough hors in the day . . .

Great photos...but I will admit I'm glad it was YOU in the airplane and NOT me. I just get so afraid of flying. Beautiful family pictures and christmas decorations.

Hi Connie

Gosh, it's been awhile since I've been by so I've had some fun tonight catching up. I loved seeing all your photos. It sure looks like you've had a fun (and busy) Christmas, just like me.

Happy New Year sweet friend!

Hugs from the beach!
