I Am Addicted....

to HAIRSPRAY!

Thanks to Karen's comment on my bag tag post I thought that I would confess I am addicted to hairspray.  Yes I am!  I work hard to have this fabulous flipped out volumnous hair!!  It wouldn't look that way if not for my very favorite friends for hair~~ Redken 10 Guts volume mouse which I spray in my hair at the roots after towel drying, then I let my hair air dry while I put on my face(that's a whole 'nother story!), then I blow dry upside down until almost dry(it gives volume!), then spray a little Big & Sexy Spray and Play hairspray under at the roots, then I blow dry with a round brush spraying the Shaper on each section, then if needed a little curling iron touch up(because I gotta have it all curling up) and then a little Big & Sexy to keep it all in place.  So there you have it.  So much spray that I don't need to carry it in my purse.

Recently I tried to use less spray and be free with my hair and this is the feedback I got:  My husband asked me if I was sick?? He's not used to a girl without her BIG hair and I do my hair everyday unless I am sick!  I should have been from Texas....they like their hair big and full of hairspray.    So I've heard. :)  Then my son asked me out right~~ "What did you do to your hair?"  AND without the hairspray....I am constantly moving my hair out of my face.  So... if I have to give it up...it's gonna take some getting used to for ALL of us.  For now, I confess I am addicted to my BIG and Sexy Hairspray and I'm not giving it up!!!

You know, I'll always like big hair. Maybe not the bangs straight up in the air hair, but big voluminous hair. Lately I have had flat hair. Today I used my daughter's hot rollers and got rave reviews at work. I think I just need to do what I like best and quit worrying about looking dated. This mid-life stuff is for the birds.

I am still sitting here smiling after reading your most recent post. What we have to go through!! And the questions we are asked!! For example, last week at Bible Study my sister looks at me and says,"you forgot mascara". I did not forget it, I just did not have time for it!! Love the comments that they(our loved ones give us). Hairspray is a part of my life too, although I only us the one product that you mentioned. Maybe my family is secretly wishing that I used all of the ones that you do. Thanks for sharing with us. Made my day!

Are your ears burning? I just got my hair done and was telling Dina (my hairdresser) that I have a friend that needs to come see her because she is addicted to hairspray. She lives and also works in your same city.
Now how weird is that?
Girl, there is just too much other product out there, you'd spend less, it would be easier and you'd get a BETTER result!!!! And just wait'll I get my hands on your husband if he asks if you're sick. BONG!
We need to do lunch and just for fun make an appt with Dina and see what she can do to convince you. Whaddaya say?

I have one can in my house..I use a spray for Texurized hair. I love it--but I do miss soft hair. For what I do now is i let my sides just go, so at least I have some softness. Thats so funny all those cans!

oh girlfriend....me too!! And I've been trying lately to use less and less. I do admit I love feeling my hair softer but by 2:00, it's all limp!

I gave up hair spray years ago for the natural look. You have to tough out the transition but I like having an easy routine. I smiled at your husband's comment.
