This City Girl is....

getting in touch with her country girl roots!!

Aren't these the most beautiful jars???
I did it myself....planted the tomato plants,
watered them, picked them and canned them!!

My sterilized jars...so sparkly and bright!
Tomatoes washed and ready for their hot/cold bath so they can be peeled easily!
Yep...there I am really canning tomatoes! Gotta have the glasses to see up close and how do you like the new hair color???
There they are! A whole pan of tomatoes ready to put in the jars!
Beautiful!!! Waiting for the pop so I know that they are sealed.
Thanks to Diane from Just Enjoying Life for her simple directions and photos that spurred me on to do this!

Wow Connie that's alot of hard work and effort but oh so worth it right! Simple pleasures in life, and the fruit of your rewards during the winter when you get to serve the tomatoes with something yummy.
You've got a great kitchen to work in.

I can't tell you just how proud I am of you! I thought you were actually a country girl at heart. The jars look so beautiful and so appetizing. You did an outstanding job! Now when your winter storm comes you will be ready. Just think...you ride roller coasters and you can tomatoes...what a cool grandma you are. I like the hair color on you. It goes with your skin tone.

One more thing, the banner picture is exceptional.

nothing better to me than this type of home chore. Once i walk away from full time work outside of the home--i will surely get back to this.

Good GIrl! Just like your Mom! I still remember her jam... YUM! Next time - have Danielle with you so she can learn!
And then she'll pass it down to her daughter - WAIT - she doesn't have one YET! When are they gong to start working on that? Mason needs a playmate!
:)
HUGS! Love the color!!!
And the glasses. I love that picture of you, Theresa, Susan and Laura looking exactly the same as 15 years ago - except for the glasses!
BIG HUGS! Karen
