Happy Happy Birthday Connie! I did it last week...not so exciting. I was pretty stressed about it, then it happened and it was no big deal..just tough when you have to tell your age....ahem "I'm fifty"...yuk. Well the big day is finally here and you made it none the worse for wear. Along the way you became this Techno Babe and impressed those that have not seen this creativity before.
No matter how many people tell you that 50 is the new 30 I wouldn't believe them. I don't remember feeling this many ackes, pains and strains when I was 30.
I can't beleive that the past 30 years has gone by so fast. After three great kids, three great grandkids, a lot of fun and challenges and putting up with a lot of my crazy dreams you still look pretty darn good.
They say that when you are 50 you are over the hill but I prefer to think of being on the hill the way Isaiah did. He said, "How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of those who bring good news and proclaim peace and bring glad tidings of good things and proclaim salvation, who remind Zion, Our God Reigns."
If we can do that together the next 30-40 years it doesn't matter what side of the mountain we are on for we will have finished strong.

Wish I could be with you to bring in this momentous milestone, but will hold you to a "Girls Night Out" soon! When you recover from today! :) Call me...let's plan to celebrate all year!

Happy Birthday to you Connie, my oldest but dearest sister!!! I've often teased you about being "OLDER" than me but I'm proud to say you look fabulous for "50" so keep doing what you're doing because it's working!!
Even though we are different in so many ways our souls are forever entwined as sisters and for that I'm most grateful because that in itself makes us more alike than anything! Although we are both opinionated, a little controlling and very competetive (must I mention that we have very patient husbands?)so I guess we are more alike than I thought! :)
I hope you have a very special day planned and your family does not dissapoint in their efforts to celebrate your big day!! Sit back, relax and allow them (yes, you must give up control dear sister!!)to spoil you as you so deserve!!
